Utah is a state located in the western United States. The state is comprised of higher percentage of people sharing a single religious belief unlike any other state. Most of the people living in the state are the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day Saints. They were also called sometimes as the Mormons or the LDS Church. In the year 2004 the local population of the Utahns became 62.4 percent of the state's population which suggests less than 50 percent of the total population in the urban areas and more than 90 percent in the rural areas. The Rhode Island is the only state in the nation having a majority of the population belonging to a single religious body.



Utah also has a large population of the catholic believers. This is mainly due to massive immigration from the border state 'Mexico'.
