Utah Arts Festival

The Utah Arts Festival is a great place to go for viewing and purchasing art, entertainment, savoring some spicy and tasty dishes, and finding unique gifts for yourself or for the loved ones. The Utah Arts Festival has been ranked among the top 50 arts festivals in the State of Utah and it presents four days of award-winning fine arts in the Artists Marketplace, food and drink, live performances, and a complete list of events and activities for kids in the scenic Library Square area located in downtown Salt Lake City.



This festival celebrates an extended spectrum of artists and artwork. Dancing, food, music and display of items provide give rise to several buying decisions in this arts festival. The evening performances in Utah Arts Festival feature famous artists and their exquisite creations. This event lets all visitors to learn and explore the gems hidden in the world of fine art, but the knowledgeable folks specially visit for the mesmerizing works exhibited. The timing of the festival: daily opens at noon to 11:00 pm.



Since the year 1992, the Mayor's Office has started the tradition of honoring artists and organizations from Salt Lake City who made a significant contribution to the community's cultural life. Four awards are presented by the Mayor's Office to recipients in the categories of: Performing Arts, Outstanding Service to the Arts, Visual Arts, and Literary Arts. At the Closing Night Reception of the Utah Arts Festival, the recipients of the awards are recognized. The event takes place in the Urban Room of the City Library. In the year 2007, there were five winners in the four categories of awards in the Utah Arts Festival. After a few venue changes in the late 90s and 00s, the arts festival has ultimately found its permanent home at Library Square where it goes on for four days in the middle of June every year.
