Ogden

Ogden occupies a land area of 69.0 square km. With the Ogden river flowing by the city it is obvious that the city got its name from the nearby Ogden river. Ogden is the county seat of Weber county in Utah. A land of manufacturing and business, Ogden enjoys a rich history of carrying people and freight over USA over the past few years. Besides being close to Wasatch Mountains, Ogden is also known for its vibrant history and rich culture. Located in the foothills of Wasatch Mountains, Ogden is just 40 miles north of Salt Lake City.

The Ogden and Weber Rivers are the two major river systems of the city. 7 miles east of Ogden is located the Pinview Dam. The water storage of the dam is used for generating hydroelectricity. With Mount Ogden to the east and Ben Lomond to the north Ogden a pleasant climate throughout the year. Summers are pleasant here but winters carry snowfall and blizzards with them. The average income per household in Ogden is US$34,047. However, the per capita income of men is much higher here compared to that of the women.
