The city of Taylorsville was founded in the year 1996.The city is one of the youngest and came into existence due to the constant efforts of its citizens and has developed a lot in terms of community planning, economy and social developments. The city of Taylorsville is in the Salt Lake County , Utah, US. The population of the city is around 58,009. The total city area is about 27.7 km².




History:
The city of Taylorsville has a rich history dating back to the mid 19 th century when pioneers Joseph and Susanna Harker crossed the Jordan River and founded the Taylorsville area originally called "Over Jordan". Often the city of Taylorsville's is nicknamed as “Utah's Centennial City," since it came into existence 100 years after Utah was formed. After the city of Taylorsville was incorporated most of the growth of the city took place near the banks of the Jordan River in the eastern part of the town.
